  • You ever gonna let that go?

  • Hey, c'mon on, you guys, cut it out.
  • Cut it out, both of you.

🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

Doesn't the view make you guys feel kind of nostalgic?

make ~ to do とは書けません——to を落とすのがこの型の決まりで、let / have / see / hear も同じ仲間です。 (He was made to wait.)——ここが試験でもよく問われます。

PATTERN 2

I wish I could + 原形(〜できたらいいのに)

I'm jealous. I wish I could go.

I hope I can ~ が見込みのある願いなのに対し、I wish I could ~ は叶わない前提——あきらめが混じるのが違い。 I wish I could have + 過去分詞 にすると「〜できていたらよかったのに」と過去の悔いになります。

PATTERN 3

They're supposed to take off today, right?

(You were supposed to call.)。

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

stick out to ~

What stuck out to you?(どこが印象に残った?)
