Episode Summary
Fairy Tail celebrates taking first place, and Erza scolds Natsu and Gray for ruining her cake. Gajeel returns and takes the Dragon Slayers to a hidden graveyard full of dragon bones under the arena. Using the Milky Way spell, Wendy calls up the spirit of the Jade Dragon, Zirconis. He tells them about a war between dragons four hundred years ago, the first Dragon Slayers, and how one of them became the dragon Acnologia. Arcadios then appears and tells them that Zeref turned that Dragon Slayer into a dragon.

PATTERN 1
When I was first ~ing, I assumed …（最初に〜していたとき、…だと思いこんでいた）
When I was first learning it, I assumed it was some kind of attack.
最初に覚えたときは、攻撃魔法の一種だと思いこんでいました。
assume は「（根拠なく）思いこむ」。後で考えが変わったことを示す前置きです。
他にも使える例：

It wasn't long before ~（まもなく〜した）
