Episode Summary
A gravity mage pins the whole group to the ground and demands to know where the guild's founder is buried, while a card mage who has just found the tomb discovers it holds a spell rather than a grave. Remembering twelve years of never quite telling her father who she is, she abandons her own ambitions to save her friends, and arrives with the guild's most powerful light, only to learn it takes more than courage to wield it.

表現more than just ~単なる〜以上のもの
💡 単に〜より多いという形で「〜にとどまらない大切なもの」を表します。思い入れや価値を強調するときの定番です。
例文
For me, this job is more than just a way to make money.
私にとって、この仕事は単なる稼ぎ口以上のものだ。
If not more so, than Fairy Law itself.
訳妖精の法律（フェアリーロウ）と同じか、それ以上の力だ。

💡 as ~ as …, if not more so で「…と同じくらい、ひょっとするとそれ以上に」を表します。比較を控えめに上乗せする上級の言い回しです。
例文
She's as talented as her brother, if not more so.
彼女は兄と同じくらい、いやそれ以上に才能がある。
We're done talking when I say we're done.
訳話が終わるかどうかは、私が決める。

💡 相手の「もう話は終わり」を封じる、主導権を握る決まり文句です。威圧的な響きなので、使う場面には注意が必要です。

訳あいつを追っ払うだけの力をためるから。
表現send ~ packing〜を追い払う
💡 荷造りさせて送り出すという形で「（さっさと）追い払う・お払い箱にする」を表す口語です。試合で圧勝する意味でも使います。
例文
The champion sent the challenger packing in the first round.
チャンピオンは1ラウンドで挑戦者を追い払った。

💡 gravity は「重力」と「重大さ」の二つの意味があり、ここでは重力魔法のしゃれにもなっています。the gravity of the situation（事態の深刻さ）は報道の定番です。
例文
The government misjudged the gravity of the crisis.
政府は危機の深刻さを見誤った。
It's time I took that spell off your hands.
訳その魔法はそろそろ私が引き取ってやろう。
表現take ~ off one's hands〜を引き取る
💡 〜をあなたの手から取り去るという形で「（不要なもの・負担を）引き取る」を表します。親切な申し出にも、ここでのような皮肉にも使えます。
例文
I'll take the old sofa off your hands.
その古いソファ、私が引き取るよ。
Every type of magic that exists today was once part of a single, unified whole.
訳今ある魔法はすべて、かつては一つにまとまった全体の一部だった。

💡 whole は名詞で「全体」。single と unified を重ねて「分かれる前の一体のもの」を強調する論説的な表現です。
例文
The team works as a single, unified whole.
そのチームは一つにまとまって動いている。
It's an ultra-level spell that uses pure light to deny the existence of anyone its wielder deems to be an enemy.
訳術者が敵とみなした者の存在を、純粋な光で否定する超高位魔法だ。
表現deny the existence of ~〜の存在を否定する
💡 deny は「否定する」で、「〜はいないと主張する」のほか、ここでは「消し去る」という強い意味で使われています。
例文
Some people deny the existence of ghosts.
幽霊の存在を否定する人もいる。
I intend to relieve you of it as painfully as possible.
訳できるだけ痛めつけて、それを取り上げてやろう。
表現relieve ~ of …〜から…を取り上げる
💡 relieve ~ of … は「〜の…（重荷）を取り除く」が本来の意味ですが、皮肉っぽく「奪う」の婉曲表現としても使われます。relieve him of his duties（解任する）も頻出。
例文
The thief relieved him of his wallet.
泥棒は彼から財布を奪った。
This amateur's about to rock your world.
訳その素人の力、思い知らせてあげる。
表現rock one's world〜を圧倒する
💡 〜の世界を揺さぶるという形で「（強烈に）驚かせる・圧倒する」を表す口語です。宣伝文句などでも使われます。
例文
This new phone is going to rock your world.
この新しいスマホには度肝を抜かれるよ。
〈上級〉念を押す・欲する・語り伝える・皮肉る・見下す——大人の会話に効く言い回しを5個。Must-Know とは別枠の実用表現です。

訳一度だけ言う。よく聞け。

第112話の実際のセリフから、書き言葉でも通用する上級構文を3つ。
Even if we knew ~, we'd never …（たとえ〜を知っていても、決して…しない）Even if we knew where it was, we'd never tell someone like
たとえ場所を知ってたって、あんたみたいな人には絶対教えないわ
Even if we knew ~ は「仮に知っていたとしても」という仮定法。we'd never … と組んできっぱり拒絶する型です。
他にも使える例：
If you knew ~, you'd realize …（〜を知っていれば、…とわかるはずだ）If you knew the origins of magic, you'd realize all spells are fundamentally the same.
魔法の起源を知っていれば、すべての魔法は本質的に同じだとわかるはずだ。
If you knew ~, you'd realize … は仮定法過去で、「あなたは知らないからわからないのだ」と知識の差を示す型です。
他にも使える例：

It takes ~ to …（…するには〜が必要）をSo that's ~? で受けて「その程度か」と見下す皮肉の型にしています。
