💡 despite ~ は〜にもかかわらず（前置詞）。ほめつつ皮肉る、屈折した賛辞です。

意味根源の魔法は、手で触れられるほど近い。
💡 palpable は手に取るようにわかる。so ~ (that) … の that を省いた形です。

💡 speck はごく小さな粒。the tiniest ~ で「ほんのわずかな〜からでも」と誇ります。

範囲や対象が〜だけにとどまることを示す形。規約・募集要項では Entry is limited to members. のように定番の言い回しです。
他にも使える例：

お前が気づいていないのは、真の表現は言葉の集まりから生まれるということだ。
come from の硬い言い方。語源・収入源・効果の出どころを説明するときに使われ、論文や解説文で重宝します。

だが深すぎて、手が届かないも同然だ。
may as well be ~ は実際には違っても、〜と変わらない。皮肉やあきらめをにじませる、含みのある言い方です。

by all means は「ぜひどうぞ」と許可を与える改まった言い方。相手の申し出を快く受けるときにも、「そうしたいならどうぞ」と突き放すときにも使えます。Be my guest.（どうぞご遠慮なく）も近い言い方。この回では、責める相手を静かに受け止める台詞の中で使われています。
