Episode Summary
Waiting in the cavern for nightfall, the team pass the time with a harp-playing spirit whose song brings an ice wizard close to tears, until moonlight pours through the temple roof and reveals the plot: robed followers are focusing the moon's power to melt the demon's ice, poisoning the islanders as a side effect. Their masked leader is the ice wizard's old fellow pupil, who blames him for their teacher's death and means to revive the demon just to prove he can beat it.

PATTERN 1
If ~ had …, … would have ~(もし〜していたら…だった)
If we had stuck around there any longer, we probably would've been frozen too.
if 節は had+過去分詞 、主節は would have+過去分詞 。
If I had left earlier, I would've caught the train.(もっと早く出ていたら、電車に間に合ったのに)
If you had asked, I would have helped.(言ってくれれば手伝ったのに)
PATTERN 2
Are you really so ~ that you would …?(…
Are you really so callous that you would try to destroy our master's legacy?
so ~ that …
Are you really so busy that you can't call?(電話もできないほど忙しいの?)
Is it really so hard that you would give up?(あきらめるほど難しいのか?)
PATTERN 3
If ~, then … will have ~(〜なら…
If I can defeat Deliora, a demon so strong that not even Ur could vanquish it, then I will have surpassed her power.
If we finish today, then we will have met the deadline.(今日終われば、締め切りに間に合ったことになる)
If he wins, then he will have won three years in a row.(彼が勝てば、3年連続優勝になる)

★★★★★
5.0 / 5
この 上級版 では、have a feeling (that) ~ / there's no turning back / as ~ as ever / a clever move を中心に据えました。
