父がどれほど心配していたか、想像もつかない。
must have + 過去分詞 は「〜だったに違いない」。I can't imagine how ~ で相手の気持ちを思いやる言い方になります。
他にも使える例:
There's nothing more excruciating than ~(〜ほどつらいことはない)There's nothing more excruciating than knowing you will never have the chance because of your own actions!
自らの行いのせいで二度とその機会がないと知ることほど、耐えがたいことはない!
There's nothing more ~ than … は「…ほど〜なものはない」という最上級の言い換えです。
他にも使える例:
All we know for sure is ~(確かにわかっているのは〜だけだ)All we know for sure is this will undo the merging.
確かなのは、これで融合が解けるということだけです。
All we know for sure is ~ は「確実にわかっているのは〜だけ」。不確かさを正直に伝える言い方です。
