Episode Summary

Before you go, there's something I've been meaning to ask you.
行く前に、前から頼もうと思っていたことがある。
have been meaning to ~ は「ずっと〜しようと思っていた」 。話を切り出す ときの前置きです。
他にも使える例:

PATTERN 2
If we're lucky, we'll ~(運がよければ〜するだろう)
If we're lucky we'll run into each other.
運がよけりゃ、どこかで会えるさ。
If we're lucky は「運がよければ」 。あまり期待しすぎない 前向きな見通しです。
