Episode Summary

After a disastrous first day, Makarov raises a toast and tells the guild they will climb to the top. Colonel Arcadios reports to the king that the games are going smoothly. Quatro Cerberus's Bacchus, an old rival of Erza's, appears at the guild's party. In the second day's event, Chariots, Natsu, Gajeel, and Sting all suffer from motion sickness, but Natsu refuses to give up for the sake of the friends who waited seven years. Raven Tail's Blacksnake then wins the first battle against Lamia Scale's Toby.

第161話の実際のセリフから、押さえたい文法を3つ。

PATTERN 1

If ~ has any requests concerning …, I will happily ~(…について何かご要望があれば、喜んで〜します)

concerning ~ は「〜に関して」という硬い前置詞。I will happily ~ でていねいな申し出になります。

can't afford to ~ は「〜する余裕がない」。when ~ で状況を示します。
