Episode Summary
A celestial-spirit mage who has just moved into her dream flat finds it invaded by a fire-eating wizard and his cat, who talk her into forming a team and taking a job to destroy a single book kept by a lecherous duke. Turned away when she applies as his maid, she breaks into the mansion with them instead, discovers the book is an unpublished work by a novelist she adores, and refuses to burn it while her partner takes on a pair of mercenary brothers.

🎯 Grammar Patterns
3 patterns
PATTERN 1
Not only + 倒置, but …(〜だけでなく…も)
Not only am I gonna burn his book, but I'm gonna use his toothbrush to clean the toilet.
Not only を文頭に出すと、疑問文の語順 になる形です(am I gonna…)。強調の倒置 で、but (also) …
Not only did he apologize, but he also paid for dinner.(彼は謝っただけでなく、夕食代まで払ってくれた)
Not only is it cheap, but it works well.(安いだけでなく、よく効く)
PATTERN 2
I never would have guessed ~(〜
I never would have guessed it was that stupid book.
I never would have guessed you two were sisters.(ふたりが姉妹だなんて、思いもしなかった)
I never would have guessed it was homemade.(手作りだなんて、全然わからなかった)
PATTERN 3
They neglect to train their bodies, which leaves them physically weak.
He missed the train, which made him late for work.(彼は電車に乗り遅れて、そのせいで遅刻した)
She said nothing, which surprised everyone.(彼女は何も言わず、それがみんなを驚かせた)

★★★★★
5.0 / 5
この 上級版 では、a real steal / Not to ~ or anything, but … / not sit well with ~ / make it a point to ~ を中心に据えました。
突き放す側では be no match for ~ が力の差を一言で示し 、put ~ in one's place が身のほどを知らせる に転じる。
