Episode Summary

New Year's is coming, and Konata has two campaigns to run. First comes the huge doujin convention: she briefs Kagami and Tsukasa like a squad leader, handing out shopping lists, a colour-coded route map, cash instead of wallets and a rally point, then sends them into the halls. Tsukasa gets swept away by the crowd and spends an hour in the bathroom queue; Konata mourns how the event has changed since her father took her as a five-year-old. That night the Hiiragi sisters are back at the family shrine for the New Year, where Tsukasa prays to be in the same class as her friends, Kagami dismisses fortunes as a game of luck, and the story behind her own name comes out. On Lucky Channel, Akira is off sick and Minoru Shiraishi has to hold the segment alone.

この 上級版 では、a cheap trick / You have no idea what you're getting into. / I hate to say I told you so. / I beg to differ.

You have no idea what you're getting into と I hate to say I told you so で忠告を、I beg to differ と miss the point で反論を——議論や雑談で、そのまま使えます。

Whether ~ or not, it all depends on … / I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you, but ~ まで扱う、上級者向けの第12話です。
