Episode Summary

School starts again and nobody has shaken off the New Year yet. Kagami has gained weight from three days of shrine work and too much food; the girls compare rice cakes to bowls of rice, and Konata admits her family starts the year with fresh pasta and homemade pizza. Miyuki, the most traditional of them, wore a kimono and played card games with her cousins, and later looks up her first dream of the year in a dream dictionary — shoes, apparently, mean social status. Talk turns to the coming-of-age ceremony, to the kotatsu nobody can climb out of, and to Valentine's Day, which Konata plans to spend giving chocolate to her wife in an online game. At the shop, the staff mount a full military operation to get the legendary girl to the register.

Here's hoping ~ / something in the air / in the blink of an eye

Here's hoping ~ / something in the air / weasel one's way out of ~ / live in one's own little world / a hopeless romantic

on paper と before you know it で時間の感覚を、a hopeless romantic と Money can't buy you love
