Episode Summary
Konata weighs boxes in the shop to work out which one holds the rare figure, and defends buying by the case as the grown-up shopping method — which Kagami calls childish. They puzzle over how television covers otaku culture, why the heroines in dating games never have boyfriends, and how a break from studying never stays a break. Summer itself is mostly endured: flies and mosquitoes, a dentist Miyuki ran away from, homework nobody has started, and an air-conditioned room where everyone waits for someone else to stand up. It ends well, though — the whole group gathers at Minami's house for the fireworks, and only some of them come home covered in bites.
