💡 epitome(イピトミ)は「典型・縮図」。the epitome of ~ で「〜そのもの」と最大級に表現できます。

Yeah, but they're kind of pushing it when they charge you 300 for a lousy hot dog.
訳でも、しょぼいホットドッグに300円はちょっとやりすぎだよね。
表現pushing itやりすぎ
💡 push it は「押しすぎる」=「調子に乗りすぎる・限度を超える」。be pushing it の進行形でよく使います。

Asking for a third day off is pushing it.

💡 a sucker for ~ は「〜に弱い・目がない」。sucker 単独だと「カモ」ですが、for ~ を付けると好物を表します。

If labeling stuff is limited, edition is enough to boost sales, they should slap it on everything.

💡 boost は「押し上げる」。boost sales / morale / the economy などビジネスの頻出コロケーションです。

表現can't help but ~〜せずにはいられない
💡 can't help but + 動詞の原形は「〜せずにはいられない」。can't help ~ing とほぼ同じ意味です。

〈上級〉時間を奪う・もろくなる・さらに付け足す——場面を運ぶ言い回しを5個。Must-Know とは別枠の実用表現です。

泳げるからって、飛び込んで遠泳しなきゃいけないわけじゃないでしょ。
Just because A doesn't mean B は「Aだからといって、Bとは限らない」。短絡的な決めつけに反論する定番構文です。
