Wouldn't it be better if + 過去形? は仮定法を使った控えめな代案の型です。

宿題を写すことに関しては、そんなの関係ないと思うけど。
when it comes to ~ は「〜のこととなると」。I don't think ~ matters で論点を切り捨てる型です。
