PATTERN 1
If you always ~, then you will never ~（いつも〜していたら、決して〜できない）
If you always blame others, then you will never live up to your fullest potential
他人のせいにしてばかりでは、自分の力を出し切れないよ
習慣（always）と結果（never）を対比します。
他にも使える例：

PATTERN 2
~ always question the current times（〜は常に時代に問いを投げかける）
Grand displays and great works of art always question the current times
壮大な見せ物と偉大な芸術は、常に時代に問いかけるものだ
question は動詞で「問いただす」です。

PATTERN 3
If history repeats itself, as it's wont to do, ~（歴史は繰り返すものだから、〜）
If history repeats itself, as it's wont to do, next month there will be a festival
歴史が繰り返すならば、来月は祭りがある
wont to ~ は「〜するのが常の」という古風な表現です。
他にも使える例：
