Episode Summary
Subaru wakes scarred but alive, and learns the price: the maid who carried him out spent everything she had. Then the girl in the library gives him a deadline — the bites left curses stacked too deep to untangle, and he has half a day. He decides not to spend it giving up. With the older sister he walks back into the forest, hears why the demon clan has no use for twins, and turns the one thing that makes him prey into a plan: be the bait.

💡 count oneself lucky は「自分は幸運だと考える」。consider oneself lucky とも言います。

💡 might as well ~ は「（どうせなら）〜したほうがいい」。投げやりにも前向きにも使えます。

I hate to think what would have happened if ~ は仮定法過去完了で「もし〜だったらどうなっていたか」を表す型です。
他にも使える例：
I'm not ~ enough to … right now（今は…できるほど〜じゃない）I'm not calm enough to be kind right now
今は優しくできるほど落ち着いていないの
not ~ enough to ... は「…できるほど〜ではない」。right now で今の状態に限定します。
他にも使える例：
I'm not gonna pretend like I know ~（〜を知っているふりはしない）I'm not gonna pretend like I know anything about your people
お前らの種族のことを知ってるふりなんてしないけど
I'm not gonna pretend ~ は「〜のふりはしない」。謙虚に前置きしてから意見を言う型です。
