Episode Summary
The village is safe, the stamps are handed out, and for once nobody is dying. Then a carriage arrives from the capital and the story changes shape: a summons, an old swordsman who talks in circles over the most expensive tea in the house, and a girl who would rather her hanger-on stayed home. He does not stay home. He walks the capital holding her hand, gets into a street fight he did not need, and hitches a ride into the castle — where four candidates, a council of elders and a stone with new writing on it are waiting to start something much larger.

Need I remind you that ~?（〜だと言うまでもないでしょう？）Need I remind you that you're dealing with one who may be the future queen of Lugunica?
お相手はルグニカの次期女王になるかもしれないお方だと、念を押すまでもありませんな？
Need I remind you that ~? は助動詞 need を使った硬い言い方で、「〜を思い出させる必要がありますか？」＝念押しの型です。
他にも使える例：
Am I to understand ~?（〜と理解してよいのか？）Am I to understand you already know the purpose of this meeting?
この会合の目的はすでにご存じということかな？
Am I to understand ~? はbe to 不定詞を使った改まった確認の型です。
他にも使える例：
Whether ~ or not holds no merit（〜かどうかは意味がない）Whether I have or not holds no merit
説明したかどうかなど、何の意味もないわ
Whether ~ or not が主語になり、hold no merit（価値がない）と組んだ尊大な言い方です。
