Episode Summary

Three days of doing nothing while the wound closes. A knight comes to ask what the duel was for and gets told to mind his own business. A shopkeeper says out loud what the whole capital thinks about half-elves. And a duchess, over a drink under the night sky, tells him to stop looking at the ground — advice he takes in exactly the wrong direction. By morning he is certain he knows what to do, and every person who tries to stop him becomes, in his head, someone standing in the way.

🔥 Must-Know Expressions 10 expressions |

01

call it a day

  • Maybe we should stop and call it a day.
  • It's past six — let's call it a day.

02

Don't sneak up on me.

  • Don't sneak up on me like that.
  • Don't sneak up on me — you scared me half to death.

Don't surprise me. Don't sneak up on me. on を落とせません(sneak up on 人)。

03

Can you blame him?

  • Well, can you blame him?
  • He quit after all that? Can you blame him?

That's understandable. が説明なのに対し、Can you blame him? I can't blame you.

04

That goes both ways.

  • That goes both ways, Emilia.
  • Trust? That goes both ways.

Me too. が同意なのに対し、That goes both ways.

05

You're so easy to read.

  • Don't be mad, Subaru. You're so easy to read.
  • You're so easy to read — you hated it, didn't you?

I can tell. You're so easy to read.

06

make up with ~

  • You need to hurry up and make up with Miss Emilia.
  • Have you made up with your brother yet?

kiss and make up

07

It's as simple as that.

  • Seriously, it's as simple as that.
  • Ask her. It's as simple as that.

08

Who cares about ~?

  • Who cares about a little fog?
  • Who cares about the price? Just get it.

It doesn't matter. Who cares?

09

put one's faith in ~

  • I've put my faith in you, Subaru.
  • They put their faith in the new plan.

10

be patient and wait

  • So please just be patient and wait here for me to return.
  • Be patient and wait — they'll call your name.

🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

Shall we ~?(〜しませんか)

Shall we go out tomorrow?

Do you want to ~? Shall we?

PATTERN 2

Can I ~? Would it be okay if ~?

PATTERN 3

Rem, how long until we reach the mansion?

When will we ~? How long until dinner?

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

call it a day

夜おそくなら call it a night に変わり、飲み会や作業を切り上げるときにそのまま使えます——I'm beat. Let's call it a night.
