Episode Summary

The letter he sent arrived blank, so the household that raised him meets his rescue party with a weapon. The villagers he came to save decide the danger is the half-elf's fault and refuse to move. He gets them out anyway, wins the fight, and then the thing he thought he had killed twice climbs into the one body nobody was guarding — his own.

🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

I'd like for 人 to + 動詞の原形(〜してほしいのですが)

But while they're here working, I'd like for all of you to leave for the time being.

I want you to ~ が直接なのに対し、I'd like for 人 to ~ は一段ていねい——would が距離を作るのが違い。 (I'd like you to ~ でも同じ)。

PATTERN 2

But whatever you believe, please accept my request.

whatever happens / whatever you decide

PATTERN 3

It's unusual for ~ to + 動詞の原形(〜が…

It's unusual for the spirits to mistake the tuning.

It's unusual for ~ to … It's rare / common / hard for ~ to …

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

be up to no good

be up to ~ が「〜をしている・企んでいる」。What are you up to? 子どもやペットに向けて、半分ふざけて使うことも多い言い方です——The cat's been up to no good again.紛らわしいのがbe up for ~。こちらは「〜する気がある」で、むしろ前向きです——I'm up for it.(乗った)企んでいるのが be up to no good、乗り気なのが be up for ~ と分けると混ざりません。

Is anyone there? / Stop saying that! / I get the idea. / Fill me in. / I could use your help.

I'd like for 人 to + 動詞の原形(〜してほしいのですが)、whatever 主語 + 動詞, …(何を〜しようと)、It's unusual for ~ to + 動詞の原形(〜が…
