PATTERN 1

If ~, how will ...? は修辞疑問で「〜なら…できるはずがない」と諭す型です。
他にも使える例：

PATTERN 2
Perhaps you just assumed ~ without …（…もなく〜と思い込んだのでは）

assume は「（根拠なく）思い込む」。Perhaps でやんわり指摘します。
