🎯 Grammar Patterns
3 patterns
PATTERN 1
Until you ~, I'll just ... over and over again(〜
Until you actually shut me out for real, I'll just come back over and over again!
I'll keep -ing. が継続なのに対し、Until you ~, I'll ... over and over again
- Until you say stop, I'll keep asking.(やめろと言われるまで、何度でも聞きます)
- Until they answer, I'll write every week.(返事が来るまで、毎週書きます)
PATTERN 2
Compared to ~, ...(〜に比べれば、…)
Compared to mine, a human's life is over in the blink of an eye.
shorter than ~ が比較級なのに対し、Compared to ~, ...

- Compared to the first draft, this is much better.(初稿に比べれば、ずっと良くなっています)
PATTERN 3

Come on. You don't have to push yourself that hard.
Stop it. You don't have to ~ that hard.

- You don't have to rush that hard.(そんなに急がなくていい)
🎯 Today's Phrase
Native daily-use phrase
★ TODAY'S PHRASE
carry a torch for ~
- Forget about this torch you're carrying for some stranger you wouldn't even recognize.
- He carried a torch for her all through college.
- She's still carrying a torch for him.
過去形にすると、もう終わった想いになります——He carried a torch for her all through college.(大学のあいだずっと、彼は彼女を想い続けていた)この台詞の組み立てが効いています——Forget about this torch you're carrying と言ってから、Choose me.(俺を選べ)へつなげる。 紛らわしいのがhave a crush on ~。
