🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

May you live without fear, head held high, never cowering or hesitating.

PATTERN 2

Have you the will to ~?(〜する意志はありますか)

Have you the will to carry this out, to swear an oath that henceforth you vow to protect her?

Do you have the will ~? が現代の語順なのに対し、Have you the will ~?

PATTERN 3

You needn't ~(〜

Although you needn't worry about that scenario, I can certainly assure you.

You don't have to ~ が口語なのに対し、You needn't ~ は硬い言い方——イギリス英語寄りなのが違い。

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

pick up all the pieces

the pieces が「破片」。 She was left to pick up the pieces.(後始末は彼女に残された)のように、be left to ~ と組むのが定番です。 紛らわしいのがclean up the mess。
