🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

Just because ~ doesn't mean …(〜

Just because they say “the witch's remains” doesn't mean they're referring to the Witch of Envy.

That's wrong. Just because ~ doesn't mean …

PATTERN 2

The longer you think about something, the more you find yourself obsessing over it.

If you think longer, you obsess more.

PATTERN 3

I wish I could say ~(〜

Thanks, although I wish I could say I felt as good as I look.

I'm not fine. I wish I could say ~ は含みを持たせる——本当は違うと分かるのが違い。 悪い知らせをやわらかく伝えるときにも効きます——I wish I could say it's finished.

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

pick up the pace

We'll have to pick up the pace to finish today.(今日中に終えるには、ペースを上げないと)、The second half picked up the pace.(後半から展開が速くなった)。 逆もそのまま言えます——slow the pace(ペースを落とす)、keep the pace(このペースを保つ)、set the pace(ペースを決める=先導する)。紛らわしいのがstep it up。
