🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

Why am I stuck doing ~?(なんで自分が〜させられてるんだ)

This is the worst! Why am I stuck doing errand boy work?

I have to do ~ が単なる義務なのに対し、be stuck doing ~ は身動きが取れない——抜けられないのが違い。

PATTERN 2

You want a drink? — Don't even talk to me. You smell like booze.

Don't even think about it.(考えることすら許さない)がいちばん有名な形です。

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

hang in there

Do your best. Hang in there. の三語で完結し、そのあとに理由を足すと、ぐっと具体的になります——Hang in there, the results come out on Friday. Hang on in there.

見出しはhang in there / don't lose sight of ~ / leave it all to us / keep looking ahead / get out of control のように、誰かを支える言い回しを中心に据えました。

Why am I stuck doing ~?(なんで自分が〜させられてるんだ)、Don't even + 動詞の原形(〜すらするな)、without ~, 主語 + would have + 過去分詞(〜が無ければ…
