Episode Summary

Every tower opens at once, so the episode keeps cutting away mid-argument. Two of the fights are settled by paperwork logic rather than swords: a sword that refuses to be drawn, and a merchant who insists on finishing his pitch.

🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

There's no point ~ing(〜

There's no point starin' at the insides of your eyelids!

Don't do it. There's no point ~ing (There's no point in waiting.)

PATTERN 2

not half as ~ as …(…

It doesn't feel half as bad as it looks.

not as ~ as … が単なる比較なのに対し、not half as ~ as …

PATTERN 3

I'd say ~(〜

Hey, I'd say you're on the right track, mister.

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

put on a brave face

一つは自分のこと——I just put on a brave face. もう一つは人のこと——She's putting on a brave face. 紛らわしいのがsave face(面目を保つ)。
