Episode Summary

Third morning, third start. This time Subaru treats the loop as a problem to be solved: he asks to stay as a guest rather than a servant, and spends four days quietly asking questions. From the girl in the forbidden library he learns about curses, shamans, and how mana can be drained until a person simply fails to wake — and that it was she, not the half-elf, who healed him. Over tea he tells the fable of the red ogre and the blue ogre and gets an answer he did not expect. Then he leaves the mansion, waits alone in the dark, and hears chains.

🔥 Must-Know Expressions 10 expressions |

01

start over

  • Subaru Natsuki is gonna start over!
  • Let's delete this and start over.

02

Don't mention it.

  • Sorry for all the trouble I caused. — Don't mention it.
  • Don't mention it, it was on my way.

You're welcome.

03

rise and shine

  • Hey, Puck, rise and shine.
  • Rise and shine — breakfast is ready.

Wake up.

04

I thought I was a goner.

  • I thought I was a goner.
  • When the brakes failed, I thought I was a goner.

I was scared. I thought I was a goner.

05

Now you've done it.

  • Oh, now you've done it!
  • Now you've done it — she saw everything.

You did it! Now you've done it.

06

  • You've got a point — let's do it your way.

  • It's what's commonly referred to as a nickname.
  • This is referred to as the dry season.

as を落とさないのが要(× referred to a nickname)。

08

this instant

🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

Sorry to ask this of you, but ~(こんなことを頼んで悪いけど)

Sorry to ask this of you being that you only just woke up, but could you wash off Subaru?

Can you ~? Sorry to ask this of you, but ~ はひとこと断る——相手が断りやすくなるのが違い。ask ~ of 人の形で、of を落とすと別の意味になります(ask you this = これを質問する)。

PATTERN 2

Think of it as ~(〜だと思ってくれ)

Think of it as an advance in our relationship.

(Think of it as a break.)。

PATTERN 3

How's ~ coming along?(〜

How's your studying coming along so far?

Is it finished? How's it coming along?

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

rise and shine

Wake up. もとは軍隊の起床のかけ声で、rise(起きる)shine(輝く=きびきびする)を並べたもの。 紛らわしいのがup and at 'em。

見出しはstart over / Don't mention it. / rise and shine / You've got a point. / Thanks all the same.

Sorry to ask this of you, but ~(こんなことを頼んで悪いけど)、Think of it as ~(〜だと思ってくれ)、How's ~ coming along?(〜の進み具合は?)——気が引けると断る・受け取り方を示す・途中経過を聞く型が並んでいます。
