🎯 Grammar Patterns
3 patterns
PATTERN 1
It's not a matter of ~ing(〜
It's not a matter of liking you or hating you.
I don't like you. It's not a matter of ~ing It's a matter of time.
- It's not a matter of money.(金の話ではありません)
- It's not a matter of trusting him or not.(彼を信じるかどうかの話ではありません)
PATTERN 2
That alone is ~(それだけでも〜だ)
And it is said if he draws all of them, that alone is a great honor.
That alone is reason enough.
- That alone is reason enough to wait.(それだけでも待つ理由になります)
- That alone is worth the trip.(それだけでも行く値打ちがあります)
PATTERN 3
I won't ask how ~(どうやって〜したかは訊かないでおく)
I won't ask how you were able to control those creatures, though.
Tell me how ~ が要求なのに対し、
- I won't ask how you got the seats.(席をどう取ったかは訊かないでおきます)
- I won't ask how much it cost.(いくらかかったかは訊きません)
🎯 Today's Phrase
Native daily-use phrase
★ TODAY'S PHRASE
turn the tables on ~
- He turned the tables on 'em all on his own.
- One question turned the tables on the whole panel.
- By the third set, she had turned the tables.
相手は on のあと——turn the tables on the prosecution のように置きます。
