🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

Not bad for ~(〜にしては上手だ)

Not bad for such a blithering idiot!

for のあとは人か立場——for a beginner / for a first try。 Not bad at all.

PATTERN 2

It all depends on ~(〜次第だ)

I suppose it all depends on how fast you can run, doesn't it?

depend on のあとは名詞か疑問詞の節——on how / on whether が使えます。It depends.

PATTERN 3

~ however you want(好きなように〜してよい)

Use him however you want.

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

hold out

期間は for を付けて——hold out for two more days。 hold out for ~ には「〜を求めて引かない」という使い方があり、hold out for a better price なら「もっと良い値を待つ」。 紛らわしいのがhold on(待って・つかまって)。
