🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

If that's the truth, why not go back into that fox muffler?

You should ~ が助言なのに対し、Why not ~? Why don't you ~? 単独の Why not?

PATTERN 2

I can't help but + 動詞の原形(どうしても〜してしまう)

I think I can't help but want to be the first thing she sees.

I want to ~ が願いなのに対し、I can't help but ~ は抑えられなさ——こらえようとしたのが違い。but のあとは原形——I can't help ~ing の形でも同じ意味で、どちらも使われます。

PATTERN 3

Hey, next time you come, you better not be a big crybaby.

You'd better not(had の省略)で、話し言葉では had が落ちます。

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

I could use ~

いちばん出番が多いのは、助けを求めるとき——I could use a hand. ほかによく組むのはa break(ひと休み)/ some sleep(睡眠)/a coffee(コーヒー)/ some good news(いい知らせ)。
