🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

I wouldn't dare +

I wouldn't dare shamelessly disobey.

単独の I wouldn't dare.

PATTERN 2

It could have meant ~(〜

It could have meant failure for all of us.

It was dangerous.

PATTERN 3

If our positions were reversed, …(立場が逆であれば)

If our positions were reversed, perhaps I would have refrained from telling you as well.

I understand. If our positions were reversed

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

refrain from ~ing

だから掲示や案内でいちばんよく見ます——Please refrain from smoking.(喫煙はご遠慮ください)、Please refrain from talking during the performance.(上演中のお話はお控えください)。 一つめは from のあとが必ず ~ing——refrain to do とは言えません。 I refrained from commenting. 紛らわしいのがrestrain(力ずくで押さえる)。
