🎯 Grammar Patterns 3 patterns

PATTERN 1

as much as you want(好きなだけ〜して)

Feel free to trouble us as much as you want.

a lot が量なのに対し、as much as you want は無制限——決めるのは相手なのが違い。数えられる物なら as many as you want。 Take as much as you want.

PATTERN 2

You sure ~?(本当に〜で大丈夫?)

But you sure it's OK?

Is it OK? 話し言葉では Are が落ちます——Are you sure ~?

PATTERN 3

~ isn't really an option(〜という選択はない)

Going slow isn't really an option.

We can't ~ が不可能なのに対し、isn't really an option は消去——選択肢としては残っているのが違い。

🎯 Today's Phrase Native daily-use phrase

★ TODAY'S PHRASE

That's my cue to ~.

Well, that's my cue. to のあとは原形——go / leave / head back / stop talking と続けます。 紛らわしいのがqueue(列)。
