Episode Summary
A hospital director who cannot bear how quickly the new psychiatrist has been taken to starts moving meeting times, spiking coffee and finally reporting him to the state as a spy — which goes about as well for him as one would expect. Meanwhile a class outing to the museum sets off in three buses, and only two of them make the last turn.

💡 put the cart before the horse は「荷車を馬の前に置く」＝本末転倒・先走り。Let's not ~ で謙遜しつつ制する形がよく使われます。

💡 priority list は「優先リスト」。far down on ~ で「ずっと下のほう」。high on the list が逆の言い方です。

💡 the ranks は「階級・序列」。climb the ranks で「昇進していく」。rise through the ranks も同じ意味でよく使われます。

💡 rapport（ラポール）は「信頼関係・打ち解けた関係」。establish / build a rapport の形でビジネスや医療の場面によく出ます。

A good teacher tries to establish a good rapport with students.

So if you want to get into that circle, I’d advise acting sooner than later.
訳その輪に入りたいなら、早めに動くことをおすすめするわ。
表現sooner than later早いうちに
💡 sooner than later は「後回しにせず早めに」。sooner rather than later がより正式な形です。I'd advise ~ing と組むと上品な助言に。

It’s a bit out of character for you to make this kind of mistake.
訳こういうミスをするなんて、君らしくないな。
表現out of character〜らしくない
💡 out of character は「普段の性格に合わない」＝「〜らしくない」。It's out of character for you to ~ はやんわり指摘する定番の型です。

表現run down疲れ切った
💡 run down は形容詞的に「くたびれた・体調がすぐれない」。建物に使うと「荒れ果てた」の意味にもなります。

💡 an ace up one's sleeve は「袖に隠したエース」＝「切り札・奥の手」。トランプのいかさまが語源です。

訳どうやら図星だったようだな。
表現hit the nail on the headずばり的を射る
💡 hit the nail on the head は「釘の頭を打つ」＝「核心を突く・図星」。相手の指摘を認めるときにも使えます。

💡 have one's best interest(s) at heart は「〜の利益を心から考えている」。信頼を示すフォーマルな言い回しです。

As A grows, so does B. は比例関係を表す倒置の型。so + 助動詞 + 主語の語順に注意します。
他にも使える例：
I can't begin to express ~.（〜は言葉にできないほどだ）I can't begin to express my disappointment with you.
君には言葉にならないほど失望したよ。
can't begin to ~ は「〜し始めることすらできない」＝程度の強調。感謝・失望・謝罪を大げさに表すときの型です。

部長の思いやりある監督のもとで、私たちは患者さんに最高の医療を提供できるんです！
under one's watch は「〜の監督・在任中に」。provide A with B（AにBを提供する）と組むフォーマルな型です。
