Episode Summary
Kosei announces he will sit the entrance test for a music high school in another prefecture, and Tsubaki, freshly and politely dumped by her senpai, discovers he is not going anywhere tonight. A first-year called Nagi, found lurking up a tree outside Hiroko's house, ends up carried indoors, begs to be taken on as a student and is promptly handed to Kosei to teach. And Kosei, after days of excuses, finally visits Kaori in hospital.

test for ~ は「〜の選抜試験を受ける」です。
他にも使える例:

少し距離ができると、会いに行きにくくなる。
(As) soon as ~ は「〜するとすぐに」。it gets harder to ~ で変化を表します。
