Episode Summary
Kosei has gone quiet since Kaori broke down in front of him, Tsubaki admits to a friend that she has been cramming for a school she chose only to follow him, and Watari, of all people, tells Kosei to go and see Kaori anyway. The visit goes badly, with Kaori telling him to forget her. Instead of sulking, he offers to play a duet with Nagi at her school festival, and four days of practice later they are waiting backstage.

PATTERN 1

If cliches are the best you've got, you might as well save your breath.
決まり文句しか言えないなら、黙ってたほうがましよ。
the best you've got は「せいぜいそれ」 。might as well で「〜したほうがまし」 です。
