Episode Summary

Sheltering from the rain, Tsubaki tells Kosei the thing he has spent months not admitting, that he loves Kaori, and then tells him he should love her instead. Kosei, released from hospital visits by Kaori so he can practise for the February finals, admits the feeling to himself during a late-night phone call about a passing aeroplane. Then, visiting with Watari, he watches her condition take a sudden, frightening turn.

instead は「その代わりに」です。
