Watari's team loses its last junior-high match, and Kosei, so lost in Chopin that he forgets to eat, keels over. On competition day two rivals who have spent years chasing him, Emi and Takeshi, are waiting, and Takeshi, who turned down a trip to Europe just to face him, walks out to play.
