Episode Summary
Emi finishes her étude to a stunned hall, and Kosei, whose piece was chosen by the fall of a pencil, finally walks out to play. For a while he is the flawless machine everyone remembers, as memories surface of his mother's illness, her harsh lessons and the terrible thing he said to her before she died. Then, halfway through, the sound of the piano vanishes again.
