Episode Summary
After the funeral, Kaori's parents hand Kosei a letter. In it she explains that she first heard him play at five, switched from piano to violin so she could one day play with him, and told exactly one lie, that she liked Watari, to get close to him, with apologies to Watari and Tsubaki attached. Tsubaki, told by a friend to stop being a coward, goes to find Kosei and informs him that she is not going anywhere.

It's not my place to ~ は「〜する立場にない」という遠慮の表現です。
他にも使える例:

面倒を残したくなかったから、あの子にも正直になれなかった。
leave ~ behind は「〜を後に残す」です。

一番忘れられない場面ほどささいで、その逆もあるって、不思議だよね。
