第40話の実際のセリフから、書き言葉でも通用する上級構文を3つ。
PATTERN 1
You don't really think ~ just so ..., do you?（まさか…するためだけに〜したと思ってないよな？）
You don't really think we stopped here just so you could stretch your legs, do you?
まさか足を伸ばすためだけにここで停まったと思ってないだろうな？
just so ~ は「〜するためだけに」。付加疑問で念押しします。
他にも使える例：
- You don't really think I came all this way just so I could say hi, do you?（あいさつ）
- You don't really think she called just so she could chat, do you?（雑談）
PATTERN 2
If he'd had ~, maybe he would've ...（もし〜があったなら、…していたかもしれない）

ふつうの子ども時代を送っていたら、あの子も君みたいにヒーローに憧れていたかもね
仮定法過去完了で、過去の事実とちがう想像を言います。

PATTERN 3
How do you even begin to explain to ~ that ...?（〜に…だなんて、どう説明すればいいの？）
How do you even begin to explain to a child that his parents died honorable deaths?
両親が立派に殉職したなんて、子どもにどう説明すればいいの？
even begin to ~ で「そもそもどう〜すれば」と途方に暮れる気持ちを表します。
